Introducing… Callum and Rosco- our two Edinburgh coaches

Both boys have worked with us before- on our programmes in Falkirk in Edinburgh. They’re both Development Officers for SRU, Callum plays for Edinburgh Accies and Rosco coaches at Boroughmuir. One thing we know about these two is how to keep them happy…. feed them! But we thought we should find out a bit more….

Rosco, tell us a bit about yourself:

I was born and raised in Edinburgh and lived on the North side of the city for most of my life. At the age of 14 I found rugby and never looked back. Having had to work so hard to be average at best as a footballer I’d finally found something I was naturally good at. After leaving school rugby was all I wanted to do, fast forward 13 years and I am very lucky to work as a rugby development officer in the city that I love.

What brought you to SOHK?

Greg Cann (Business Consultant SOHK Scotland) and I had worked together on previous projects and when he told me about SOHK I was immediately interested. The charity promotes values that I strongly believe in and seemed like the perfect opportunity to use my love of rugby to help others in their life’s.

What do you like most about your job?

Rugby has given me so much in life, I have made friends, gained employment, travelled the world, and found love all because of rugby and that’s only naming a few of the benefits. How could I not enjoy using this amazing sport to help others get what they want out of life.

What do you like least?

Early mornings in the winter!

Who’s your hero?

My Mum, Gran and Uncle share this one. Each played a large part in raising me and I need look no further than these three amazing people for my inspiration.
